Effect of the demo sessions on health care on mothers with children under two years old registered in the Juntos program of the Santa Ana health position, Huancavelica 2019

The objective: of this study was to determine the effect of demonstration sessions on health care in mothers with children under two years of age enrolled in the together program of the Santa Ana health post, Huancavelica 2019. Methodology: cross-sectional study, pre-experimental design of a single group, which consisted of 20 mothers of children under 2 years of age, selected by non-probabilistic sampling, a questionnaire was applied before and after the demonstrative sessions that were a total of 6 sessions, where the main child care. Results. 50.0% (10) mothers belong to the young life stage, they are also of cohabiting marital status, 40.0% (8) of mothers have a degree of primary education, 35% (7) are housewives and 55 % (11) mothers have only one child. Knowledge about health care before the demonstration session was 40.0% (8) had inadequate knowledge, 45.0% (9) had knowledge in process and 15.0% (3) had adequate knowledge; After the demonstration sessions carried out, 70.0% (14) of mothers had adequate knowledge and 30% (6) knowledge in process, with these results it can be evidenced that there is a positive influence of assimilation of health care in mothers of children under 2 years of age. Conclusion: There is an influence of the demonstration sessions on knowledge about health care in mothers of children under two years of age, with a p value of 0.000.
